3.Choose a routine (we preselected a fitting routine plan based on your weekly workout goal)

The app tracks everything — personal records, volume, frequency, progression. You just focus on lifting. You'll complete 6 onboarding quests as you train, learning fundamentals while making progress.

Ascend tracks sets, reps, weights, rest times, and personal records automatically—everything you'd expect from a workout tracker, plus progression insights most apps ignore.

Proven training splits are science-backed workout routines designed around optimal muscle frequency and recovery:

Push/Pull/Legs - 5-6 days/week, hits each muscle 2x
Upper/Lower - 3-4 days/week, balanced frequency
Full Body - 1-2 days/week, efficient for beginners

Each split hits all major muscle groups 2x per week with optimized weekly volume per muscle for maximum growth. Properly spaced, this gives each muscle 48-72 hours of recovery between sessions.

During onboarding, we recommend the best split based on your weekly schedule. You can also create custom routines as you progress.

Your rank (E → D → C → B → A → S) shows where you stand. Level up your four stats to progress—Strength is the biggest factor, but balanced training gets you there too. Every lifter reaches S-Rank eventually. Just keep training.
